I was born and raised in Menomonee Falls, WI, and my entire K-12 education was in the Menomonee Falls public school system. Upon graduating from high school, I enrolled in college at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. After receiving my diploma, I started my teaching career at Lakewood Elementary in 1990 and received my Master of Arts in Education degree shortly afterwards.
During my free time, I am most often found on one of our area lakes with a fishing pole in my hands. I have had other recreational interests over the years, some of which have included hunting, golf, and volleyball, but they all seem to have taken a backseat to my obsession.
My dog and number one fishing partner, Fisher, was born on Friday the thirteenth, back in March 2009. As a rescue, we're not certain, but it's believed he's part Boston Terrier and Labrador Retriever. Yes, I know that is a strange mix! As his name suggests, he loves fishing, too.
